Blogger's Office - With A Touch Of Gold
I am starting a love affair with the color gold...so much in fact that I'm looking at redecorating this blogger's desk of mine with bits and touches of it...it just feels so classy, crisp and clean.

Well, This Is Random
I kinda haven't been here mentally this week...at least on the blog anyway...I've got all these half-finished posts in the waiting and when it comes another day for another post, I'm hardpressed. I think it's because ever since last week, I've had to get used to actually working in an office now and not from home. Yep, that's right...that has ended. But it's good, it means I finally get to jump into my new position full force {it has been 3 months since I've been hired after all!} So in continuing with my non-interestingness {like how I just made that shit up? Yeah I do that.} here's a post full of all things random for you.
First off, since we're talking about my days now being spent in my downtown Charleston office, here's how Monday looked this week:
Yep, she's a cutie, huh? And I get to take her to the office with me since I'm in there by myself. {Hey, gives me SOMETHING to talk to...} Only problem, she demands to nap on my lap as you can see here...and it proves difficult sometimes, especially because she keeps getting bigger {imagine that}. The office is perfect though because they just finished a cute little park right outside of it that looks over the ocean, so I have somewhere to take her for "breaks".
In other news, I have two new posts on Skinny Mom that I forgot to let you know about!
1. 6 DIY Spring Cleaning Products
2. Give your mom a workout buddy for Mother's Day
Check them out, I also recommend becoming a fan/follower of the site - lots of great info and resources. I'm so proud to be a part of it!
In following up on my fitness slump post last week, I am happy to report I've been kicking ass so far this week. On Monday, I got to the gym a little earlier than my shift started {so, like 4am} so I could knock out some cardio on the elliptical. And then I set off the fire alarm and nearly had an episode of bulimia due to nerves and an adrenalin-spike. Yesterday, I hit a Spin class after dropping the boys off at school before I had to head to work. Today, I did the cardio thing again before my gym shift early this AM and I've got an evening barre class lined up on the schedule. Sometimes I just need a kick in the ass with some self-deprecating blog post.
Well, so that's all I've got for today. I promise to be more interesting soon...those half-finished posts, well, they're doozies. {You're sooo on the edge of your seat, aren't you?}
Happy Wednesday/Hump Day!

Hello, Pink & Yellow
Let me begin by saying I heart the combo of pink and yellow. Like immensely. And y'all remember my living room re-do, yes?
I am just sooooooooo happy walking into this space every day. It feels crisp, clean and well, HAPPY. Don't get me wrong, there's still some slight changes to be made here and there, but truly, I am lovin' it.
So I'm now beginning to see a lot of pink and yellow floating around the blogosphere...I am so inspired and in love with the spaces, I simply had to share. If pink and yellow ain't yo' thing, it's understandable, but you will probably still love these spaces too.
Cassie's outdoor patio redesign for the Home Depot Patio Style Challenge simply blew me a way. {Like I-pinned-it-within-two-seconds-good.} I want nothing more than to sit there and sip on wine with a couple of good girlfriends. I am so inspired. My patio is due for a change...so I think this may be the direction it's going to head. What better place to use fun brights than the great outdoors?

Is this not the desk area you dreamed of as a little girl? Forget as a little girl, I'd take it now! Courtney's big girl room makeover included this beautiful little closet desk space and it just makes me want to sit in there and write in my diary...er, blog.

Kate's credenza area in her new design and sewing studio is nothing short of awesome. {Note: That yellow lamp is the same as the ones in my living room!} The credenza redo alone is spectacular, but I just love her use of colors here.
What are your fave color combos?

Monday Musings
It was such a wonderfully warm weather weekend in Charleston! I hate to say goodbye to it and be stuck in a windowless factory all day. My boys and I made the most of our two days together {unfortunately Hubby had his USCG Reserve weekend}.
On Saturday, Mommy made sure to get a little gym time in the AM while they played in the gym-care and after that, we went to the library {short-lived due to one loud little two-year old, but enough time to scoop up some good reads} and then we headed to the play park and enjoyed the beautiful day.

Other than that, it was pretty quiet around the house...the hums of the dishwasher and laundry machines were heard throughout the weekend {I had quite a few loads to catch up on...}
In other news, I've been scouring ideas for cute prints to put in the office/playroom. I decided I wanted it to be a mix of the kids' and my art as well as some fun prints that have great sayings for kids - ones of encouragement and love. Here are some I've found so far:

Art Box {from Tiffany's}
Sort of.
I found this big Tiffany & Co. box at Goodwill for $0.99 {nothing inside it, boo}. But I love me some "Tiffany Blue" and it works perfectly with my desk decor {teal blues and pink}...so I thought, "What the heck, it will make a nice storage box."
It fit JUST perfectly into one of my desk cubbies {hallelujah!}. I pondered over what I should store in it...then I remembered that I had my paints in a smaller storage box, with some not able to stand straight up due to height. The Tiffany's box was just tall enough that all of them could fit in it standing, so I deemed it the better storage solution of the two and that was the end of the story. I could always use that other box for something else, no doubt.
I thought it was missing a little something when I remembered that I still had some leftover file box labels from the Martha Stewart collection at Staples. Popped one on, labeled it and here it is:
{Maybe one day I will receive a Tiffany's box with something in it...xoxo.}
