My Wedding Band From Anjolee

*This is a sponsored post. I was provided a product by Anjolee and asked to share my review/experience with my readers. All opinions are truly my own.

Recently, my husband, Jake and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. Back when we got married, we didn't have a lot of money, so I guess you could say I didn't have a real "wedding" ring. We used a ring that he had given me as a gift. It was a humble, yet beautiful blue topaz stone with a tiny diamond on either side. It was fine by me and I had no intentions of us "upgrading" to anything more.

However, last year, on my 30th birthday, about 5 1/2 years into our marriage, my husband did the sweetest thing and "re-proposed" at our wedding site in front of many of our friends just before my birthday dinner. I was caught completely off guard.

He presented me with a gorgeous solitaire diamond ring. It was beautiful. Technically, it was only the engagement band. Since then, I've been asked when I will get a wedding band...and while I find that a totally insensitive question for someone to ask, I would kindly reply that I don't think we intend on ever getting one, and hey, it took 5 years to get the ring, give me a break! Haha.

Anyway, last month, Anjolee contacted me and asked if they could send me a ring of my choice off of their website and I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to find a band that would go with my ring. I chose the Unique Shared Prong Diamond Eternity Ring. I received it last week and it is absolutely beautiful.

It is a band with diamonds all around. I think it looks perfect next to my engagement band. The design on this particular one is very intricate, I love the U-shaped settings the diamonds are in. Although I was more than happy with the ring my husband worked so hard to surprise me with, it sure will be nice not to get that annoying wedding band question anymore!

Check out Anjolee - they have wedding bands, engagement rings and more. The quality is absolutely stellar in my opinion.

Just Another Manic Monday

I may be dating myself, but I still really love this song and can't help but sing along {full concert mode} whenever it comes on the radio.

It's already been a tad bit of a manic Monday here. My 1st grader is on Spring Break this week, and I opted to save half our daycare fee by keeping both boys home with me all week. {Luckily my job is pretty much working from home right now, so I am able to do so!} We had an exciting Easter weekend in which we accomplished THREE Easter egg hunts, went to our church service and spent the weekend with Jake's parents and his brother's family since they came to town with their little ones. I definitely didn't feel rested when I had to get up at 3am this morning to work the opening shift at my gym. But, I did make it to barre class to hopefully redeem myself for some of the things I had eaten over the holiday! So needless to say, this song was on my mind today.

Anyway, this Monday post isn't about these Bangles, it's about THESE bangles:

{Forever 21}

I'm sure many of you are now familiar with the term "arm party". I am in love with this trend...I remember playing dress up as a young girl with my best friends and we would pile on the jewelry. No doubt each of us would have our arms stacked nearly from wrist to elbow with beads and bracelets.

Just so fabulous...I love it. This has inspired me to get some more bangles and bracelets so I can create all sorts of arm parties. Here are a few I've stumbled across - I wanted to share them with you.

This set at Target is sure to get your collection jump-started:

Beaded Bangle Set of 9 - Multicolor

This one from Forever 21 will go with just about anything. Check out their collection of bangles and bracelets at great prices - most under $10.00!

Pave Chevron Cuff
{Madewell}
Have you tried the arm party trend yet? Do you like to be bold and fun with it? Understated, yet classy? There are so many ways to create an arm party - and they are a great addition to dress up any outfit - even just a tee and pair of jeans.

Happy Monday, y'all!

St. Patty's Outfit {The Deets}

So yesterday in my Monday Musings post, I posted a quick, but not too quality pic of my outfit from St. Patty's Day. I actually got a few compliments on the get-up while out and about that day, so I thought I would share with all of you just what it's made of.

Dress: TJ Maxx / Boots: Minnetonka Moccassins / Necklace: Bohme Boutique /
 Earrings: Target

Some of you may remember this outfit from the Rascal Flatts/The Band Perry concert I went to on Valentine's Day when I got to meet The Band Perry backstage! This dress was such a great find at TJ Maxx for $12.99 - and now I have some much-needed green in my closet {I am seriously lacking in that department!} And plus, it is fitting with Pantone's 2013 Color of the Year: Emerald.

These earrings were a steal at Target for $7.99. I checked and they are not available online, so I suggest you run to your nearest store and raid their jewelry section...they had tons of great stuff.

The necklace is from Bohme Boutique. I got this when I visited Idaho last summer. They do not have these boutiques on the East Coast...I think so far they are only in California and the Northwestern states. So if you live over there, lucky you! They had a great selection of jewelry.

And I tell you, I have not gotten tired of my Minnetonka Moccassins and I don't think I ever will. LOVE.

Hope y'all had a great St. Patty's Day! xoxo

Coveted Color Combo: Coral & Cobalt

I'm lovin' a little coral and cobalt paired up lately. This pair is perfect for summer as it takes a beach tone like coral and the cobalt provides some nautical flair...I'm coveting this outfit right now...what a perfect little weekend get-up:

A coral blazer like this one at Topshop...

This JNB Farrah necklace will help me keep my beloved Cali close to my heart...

I'm a fan of Aldo shoes...and these Capecoral pumps are the perfect coral heel I've been looking for - and a steal at only $80.00...

A nautical-looking chevron print dress, like this one at Old Navy {the length is perfect for a mommy on the go}...

And the perfect bag to tie it all together...this beachy find at J.Crew...

Trash to Treasure: Jewelry Display

A couple months ago, I found a skinny little basic black-framed bulletin board at Goodwill for a couple bucks. It also had a place at the top of it for a 4x6 photo. Not immediately knowing what I was going to use it for, I went ahead and bought it (I apologize for the lack of "before" photo, I could swear I took one and can't find it!)

It then sat in my garage amongst my other Goodwill finds that I have yet to "treasure".

I've been inspired by a lot of the bulletin-boards-turned-jewelry-organizers I've seen on the www lately. I decided that would be the perfect transformation for this little bulletin board find of mine.

First, I had to figure out what I wanted to put in that little 4x6 photo frame. After some thought, I decided a cute quote that would be inspiring in the morning would be the way to go, since I planned on hanging this jewelry organizer in the vanity area I have started making in my closet (more to come on that, by the way!) I will be starting my day there every day - picking out an outfit, putting on makeup and of course, accessorizing with some bling.

I went with this quote by Audrey Hepburn - and got on my computer to make a cute chevron background:

Don't you agree that is the most perfect quote to start your day with (and so fitting for a dressing area)?!

I then put it in the bulletin board frame:

Super-cute, right? Eventually I want to paint the bulletin part of the board, but for now, this definitely works for me.

Here it is, hung up with my necklaces dangling:

I've decided I need to add to my necklace collection...many of my old faves have broken and I haven't purchased any new in a while.

So what do you think of the jewelry board? Now that they are on display, they won't be "outta sight, outta mind"...so hopefully you'll be seeing me with more accessories from now on!
