An Addicting Shopping Site

Some of you may be familiar with the AliExpress website. If you're not, I'm going to go right ahead and tell you...

YOU'RE WELCOME.

Why? Because I have literally found almost every trendy item I've searched for whenever I would see something I just fell in love with on Pinterest, a blog, an ad, etc. I have a thing for searching keywords on the Internet and must say I've got quite the talent in it...I tell my friends I literally can find ANYTHING I'm coveting on the Internet. If a site says it's unavailable, I will dig and dig until I find it...and pretty much, I usually do. I will say a large part of it is due to this website in particular.

And they are oh. So. Cheap. I can also vouch that they are legit and literally the same quality if you had paid full price at the store or website.

Case in point:

My Valentino Rockstud pumps. I'm pretty sure between price and shipping I paid no more than $60 for these. Their retail price? $995.00

They've got the Valentino label stitched in the heel and came in an authentic Valentino shoebox. And they are every bit as beautiful as I imagined.

Other items I've found?

The popular J.Crew Herringbone vest.

What did I pay for this little number that runs about $108.00 on the J. Crew Factory website? $25.49. Yes, you read that right. It's on it's way to me as I type.

Next item: Hunter Rain Boots. It is hard to find these for under $100.00. I think the lowest I ever saw them for was $70 on a major site sale. How much am I paying for them on AliExpress - and for a wide choice of colors, both matte and glossy? $49.99. Yep.

I am just IN LOVE with this website. I love fashion, but I also have a need to be frugal. This has changed my wardrobe possibilities for sure. My most recent find {and I'm super proud because I had to do some major research to find this baby and my jaw dropped when I did actually find it on the site! I seriously thought it was a long shot.} is this Isabel Marant sweater I saw in this outfit I pinned on Pinterest. The original pin basically led me nowhere with not even a name of the sweater or designer. But the sweater is just so me and I had to go on the search for it. I found the original, it was not only unavailable on the site I first found it on, but it was priced at $400.00! I wanted to cry.

Casual street fashion style - multicolour sweater, denim jeans and bag.

I can't wait to pair it with those Valentino Rockstud pumps, similar to how the outfit is in the picture.

Hope you'll head to AliExpress and sign up! It's so worth your while, I promise.

The Half-Tuck

Zoe Saldana
{source}

I'll be honest. This is a look I just don't get. The half-tucked in shirt. If Zoe wasn't as gorgeous as she is and had the killer body she does...well, this would just look plain half-ass. {And it kind of still does.} She would've been better off just going all the way with it.

What do you think of this half-tucked trend? Do you like it? Hate it? Love it? Tried it?

To me, it sort of screams "walk of shame"...anyone else see it? Like you made a mad dash out of that one-night stand's apartment.

I say, if you're going to tuck it in - just go all the way. It just looks more polished, professional and pretty to me.

Maybe it's the "mom" in me.

Disclaimer: If you rock the "half-tuck" and love it...by all means, go with it. This is my personal opinion and not an attack on half-tuckers. xoxo

Just Another Manic Monday

I may be dating myself, but I still really love this song and can't help but sing along {full concert mode} whenever it comes on the radio.

It's already been a tad bit of a manic Monday here. My 1st grader is on Spring Break this week, and I opted to save half our daycare fee by keeping both boys home with me all week. {Luckily my job is pretty much working from home right now, so I am able to do so!} We had an exciting Easter weekend in which we accomplished THREE Easter egg hunts, went to our church service and spent the weekend with Jake's parents and his brother's family since they came to town with their little ones. I definitely didn't feel rested when I had to get up at 3am this morning to work the opening shift at my gym. But, I did make it to barre class to hopefully redeem myself for some of the things I had eaten over the holiday! So needless to say, this song was on my mind today.

Anyway, this Monday post isn't about these Bangles, it's about THESE bangles:

{Forever 21}

I'm sure many of you are now familiar with the term "arm party". I am in love with this trend...I remember playing dress up as a young girl with my best friends and we would pile on the jewelry. No doubt each of us would have our arms stacked nearly from wrist to elbow with beads and bracelets.

Just so fabulous...I love it. This has inspired me to get some more bangles and bracelets so I can create all sorts of arm parties. Here are a few I've stumbled across - I wanted to share them with you.

This set at Target is sure to get your collection jump-started:

Beaded Bangle Set of 9 - Multicolor

This one from Forever 21 will go with just about anything. Check out their collection of bangles and bracelets at great prices - most under $10.00!

{Madewell}
Have you tried the arm party trend yet? Do you like to be bold and fun with it? Understated, yet classy? There are so many ways to create an arm party - and they are a great addition to dress up any outfit - even just a tee and pair of jeans.

Happy Monday, y'all!

Fall Style: Burgundy

Burgundy Lips...

Burgundy Nails...

I love everything about this look...

It's also a perfect color for a holiday dress...love it paired with nude heels like Kristin did...

And OMG...going to make sure I find a pair of burgundy skinnies...love it paired with a black pump...

What I love most about burgundy is I truly believe it is a universally flattering color. Even MEN can pull it off! But there is always a perfect shade of burgundy for every skin tone. I'll be getting my burgundy on this fall and winter. xoxo

Bohme Boutique

While I was in Idaho earlier this month, I had a chance to stop by the old mall I used to hang out in and see how it's changed - stores they've added {and booted} and just people-watch in general {love that.} Anyway, a SUPERCUTE new store that I'd never seen or heard of before stuck out at me and I fell in love.

via

Seriously, HOW did I not know about this store?

I immediately asked the girls that worked there where the other locations were {HOPING somewhere near Charleston, SC was on that list} and found out the company started in Utah and currently only has 14 stores {with 12 more opening by the end of 2012}. The stores are pretty much just in the Northwest states...but as fashion-forward as this place is...I have high confidence they'll be spreading out to the East before too long...the company is only 4 years old and is spreading like wildfire out there in the malls.

Anyway, take a look at some of the goods...what got my attention most was the plentiful use of my favorite colors - teal and coral - so hot right now {and always, for me}.

They also have a badass accessories collection...so many cute earrings, bangles and necklaces...even some that emulate the look of that ever-popular J.Crew Bauble Necklace. I was also swooning over these watches {available in many colors}...which majorly inspired this post.

via

Are you as in love as I am yet? Oh, and forgot to mention how incredibly affordable everything is! I got this outfit while I was there for a total of just under $70.00 - skirt, tank and necklace. {Wow, right?}

Hubby needs to get better at taking pictures, my legs look so short!

And the fabrics are great...that skirt is so comfy {viscose & a little spandex}, I had to go back and get it in fuschia and black as well. I also got that tank in black. That tank fits better than any other tank I've tried. {Kid you not.}

Bohme, PLEASE come to Charleston...you would make bank here, seriously. King Street would be a perfect location for you.

And ladies, until they come to a place near you - you can get some of their stuff online at www.bohme.com

It's OK To Be Snaky

I'm kinda digging this snake necklace trend I've been seeing lately...so I scoured the web for a few great {and affordable} finds:

Tiffany Style Little Snake Necklace
Michelle Monroe Double Twirl Snake Necklace

Italian Murano Glass Snake Necklace

Sterling Silver Double Snake Necklace

I think the last one is my favorite. So whatcha think? Will a slithery serpent grace your neckline any time soon {hopefully not a real one}?
