Neon & Aztec

I'm the type of girl that's not afraid of bright colors. I mean, have you seen my living room & Farrah's nursery? I'm the same way with clothes. Often, I find my eye attracted to bright colors, even neon. I think if you do it right, it can look great...toning it down with neutrals is a sure way to stand out with just a little "pop" and not too much.

This coral neon tank top caught my eye and this cozy Aztec sweater had a hint of the same neon coral, while keeping the rest of the sweater neutral. I think they make a great pair. These pictures seem to tone down the actual color of the tank top because I can assure you, it is a bright, neon coral orange.

You Remember That One Aztec Sweater Cardigan?

You know, the one many of y'all {as well as myself} drooled over when I saw it on Emily Maynard and posted about it here?

And I spent months and months searching for it, only to find it six months later and brag post about it here?

Well, my lovelies, I have good news. I recently happened upon it once again...because I know many of you went to the site I got mine from after my post and it was sold out.

What I Want Wednesday

You'd think after Christmas passed, I wouldn't have too much on my want list, but I'll be honest, I don't get a lot of gifts for Christmas anymore. Don't feel sorry for me...we spent much of Hubby's bonus on much-needed baby items and he and I don't shop for each other. We figure, it's all coming from the same pot, so what's the point? So anyway, that leaves me with a still pretty lengthy lust list...and it grows nearly by the day.

1} OMG, these pants...are you kidding me? Sooooooo cute. I could picture myself rocking them in barre class {hopefully minus the pregnant belly and extra weight in the rear}. At $74, they beat Lulu in price...hopefully they have the longevity in them as well.

2} I've said it before {and I'll probably say it again once more before I actually bite the bullet and buy them}, but I need a pair of Hunter rain boots. That's it. I just do. I have been eyeing them in this color for a while. Yet, I can't decide if it would just be smarter to get them in basic black.

3} How fun are these ponchos? I'm really into the Bohemian look, and I love my Aztec sweater I found last year...I just love the colorful patterns. I love the middle one best...what about you?

4} I've been looking for a bar cart forever. I would love a pink one like this. Our kitchen is black, grey and white with pops of pink in the decor, so I think it would go just swimmingly in there. However, the $950 price tag is going to keep it from my wine-glass-holdin' hands.

So, I've instead been looking for DIY options. I have been searching everything from rolling racks, bookshelves and changing tables to find the perfect piece to makeover into a charming little pink bar cart and I've finally found it...I'm picking her up tonight from a lady in my neighborhood {it was on Craigslist, so that's a score in itself to find something in your own 'hood!} It may be hard to see now, but I've got a good vision for this thing. I may actually utilize it as a changing table after painting it pink, and THEN do the bar cart thing, but not sure. I may not be able to wait that long to set my booze out fashionably.

Charlie Hunnam...AKA Jax from Sons of Anarchy. Oh man, he is HOT. Definitely looking forward to this movie now {as if I wasn't regardless!} I'm not so sure about Dakota Johnson, but she does play an awkward, pretty in her own weird way girl pretty well on Ben & Kate, so it fits the bill, I think. Looks like I need to get to finishing the trilogy...I left off last year in the second book somewhere.

I know, I know, we may as well be twins, right? Ha, yeeeeeah. She's gorgeous...I'll claim her style, not her looks! I can't wait to rock this outfit once the weather cools a bit!

I'm an Emily Maynard Copycat...

... and I'm not ashamed.

Girl has great style, so why be ashamed? Earlier this year, I posted this picture of her because I was absolutely IN LOVE with the outfit:

It inspired me to get my Minnetonka moccassin boots! {I have never regretted that purchase, btw.} However, I could not find that sweater...I even asked her personally on her Facebook page where she got it and she told me www.spool72.com. But unfortunately, they were no longer available. So I eventually forgot about it.

Well, now that fall is quickly coming upon us, it got me thinking about this particular get-up again {because, how cute is this for fall?} and I started doing a Google search for "Aztec sweater", hoping I could at least find something similar. And well, I got better than similar.
