Yep, It's That Blanket Scarf Again...

Though it's the first time this scarf has been on my blog, I know it's likely not the first time you've seen it. So I apologize, but like many others, I simply couldn't resist this comfy little gem.

You may notice that I can be a little simplistic when it comes to some of my outfits. Sometimes, one items just speaks so much for itself, that it doesn't need much else. This scarf is one of those items. What I love about the scarf is that there are so many colors you can pull from it. I could easily pair this with a light periwinkle blue sweater, orange sweater, or mustard sweater. I chose this time to play up the brown in it because the other colors will still show so brightly in contrast.

Pink Puffer & Plaid

It has been getting colder here in Charleston lately. Last night dipped down into the high teens/low 20s! Had to leave the faucets dripping and make sure the kids had extra warm jammies and blankets! I have however loved dressing in extra layers. I found this puffer vest at Belk after Christmas {right now it's on sale and comes in a lot of fun colors - a great fit! I may get a couple more colors myself!} It's made of down material and is very comfy. The collar doesn't come too high and I love that. I got the Minnetonka moccassin boots barely-used for a great price...y'all know I love my brown triple-layer fringe ones...so these were a no-brainer purchase for me. But I could easily see myself pairing this same outfit with my Morgan boots from Target, or my black Ugg look-a-likes from Old Navy.

Cozy in Pink

We've had a lot of those days lately where the temps dip into the 30s and you just want to be all bundled up and cozy. These are definitely the days I like to sport my Uggs because they keep my toes oh-so-warm. I love this pink sweater from J. Crew and I kept it simple with a knitted beanie.

I love this beanie...it's my absolute favorite. It is O'Neill brand and I found it when I was visiting my family in Idaho over Christmas seven years ago. I did a search and found a few similar in case you were interested. Check out this one, this one, this one and this one.

It's An Ugg-y Kind Of Day

I woke up to this temperature today while taking my son to the bus stop.

I mean, it's November. Yes, for many states, this temp would not be abnormal for November. But I'm in Charleston, SC! It should still easily be 50s/60s/70s at all times. It's not even Thanksgiving for crying outloud {and if the weather continues this way, I just might!} Thankfully though, the forecast shows the temps gradually rising over the next few days.

However, after getting a good leg day workout in the gym this morning {I swear, I went purely just to warm up my body in this frigid cold!} I decided this is a perfect excuse to wear some cozy Uggs. This is my outfit of the day...simple and neutral. I am also so glad I can finally wear the J.Crew Merino Charley sweaters I bought last year when I was pregnant.

Stay warm - it's cold everywhere!
