Pink Puffer & Plaid

It has been getting colder here in Charleston lately. Last night dipped down into the high teens/low 20s! Had to leave the faucets dripping and make sure the kids had extra warm jammies and blankets! I have however loved dressing in extra layers. I found this puffer vest at Belk after Christmas {right now it's on sale and comes in a lot of fun colors - a great fit! I may get a couple more colors myself!} It's made of down material and is very comfy. The collar doesn't come too high and I love that. I got the Minnetonka moccassin boots barely-used for a great price...y'all know I love my brown triple-layer fringe ones...so these were a no-brainer purchase for me. But I could easily see myself pairing this same outfit with my Morgan boots from Target, or my black Ugg look-a-likes from Old Navy.

Want to Wear Wednesday

I've been a bad girl.

I've been perusing online clothing sites and filling my shopping carts. Right now, through the weekend, Nordstrom is having their anniversary sale and so many items are deeply discounted. I'm thinking ahead and I've got fall fashion on my mind. Here are a few things I'm planning to sport...and a few wishlist items thrown in as well.

This Free People {one of my most favorite brands} tunic is so unique and figure-flattering. I love the length as well. I'm going to pair it with a light camisole, skinny jeans and boots come fall. It stays pretty warm here in Charleston through October, so this will be perfect for the weather.

As if my husband would let me buy another high-end pair of aviators...but a girl can dream {for now}. I love the color of these sunnies by Kate Spade. After all, my Ray Ban aviators are blue...so, of course I still need pink..right? RIGHT? If only I could convince Jake of that.

I. Love. This. Sweater. The length is awesome so it can be paired with leggings or jeans. Definitely a staple item that will be worn a lot this fall and winter. There are other colors too and I love the zipper detail on the shoulders.

I encourage you to head to Nordstrom's sale if your wardrobe needs some freshening...so many good deals right now. And as always, shipping is free at Nordstrom.

I know I posted about rompers yesterday, but I just found this little gem at Lookbook Store and had to share.

Isn't that back lace detailing gorgeous?

Gratitude.

Today I'm linking up with Naomi at Momaholic.
She has started a weekly blog link up about Gratitude.

I have many things to be thankful for and no matter what life may throw at me, I know that I should always be appreciative of what it doesn't throw at me too.

This week I have Gratitude for:

1. Tanner and Breckin - the best boys a mother could ask for.

2. Jake - my husband, my partner, my rock, my friend.

3. Beach days.

4. T-Ball Season being OVER. (Though Tanner was so cute in his uniform)

5. Nice evenings with my husband and a couple glasses of red wine.

6. Tie-dye kits. (Breckin's [once white] onesies are so cute now!)

7. Blogging being a socially-accepted hobby for moms.

8. Cute aviators.

I have so much more, but I've gotta spread it out since I am going to do one of these each week!
