Happy Friday, yet again! I'm absolutely loving Fridays lately {not that I don't always}, more so because my pregnancy weeks turn over every Thursday, so I feel like I'm getting into a new week every Friday and it's helping this pregnancy {mentally} move along. Because we all know how fast weekends go... #amiright? By the time Monday rolls back around, I'm halfway through another gestational week and closer to seeing this precious baby girl {and a good bit of wine}.
Well without further adieu, here are my Five Things this week:
{one}
I feel like I've been a rockstar at the gym this week {all things - ahem, pregnancy - considering anyway}...I took the day off yesterday due to sore hips {that mountain climbing cardio machine is serious business}. I hate taking days off, but with pregnancy, I have to be sure to listen to my body and take it easy when I feel it's telling me to. My eating this week has been clean and with all of this, I definitely feel a big change in my energy levels, as well as my self-confidence, just from last month. I'm hoping it keeps the rest of the weight gain for this pregnancy in check. Hubby has taken on the T25 program I bought us and I really hate that I can't join in, but I am going to be so eager to get going with it come June!
{two}
Speaking of the Hubby...it's his 36th birthday today! I can't believe when I met him he was 26! Man, time does fly when you're having fun...or having babies...ha! We plan to go out tonight, hopefully try out the new tequila bar in town, Sol {though I'll try it sans tequila}. Happy Birthday, Baby - you are an amazing husband and I love you!
{three}
I think my tummy has really hit the beach ball stage. I'm 24 weeks and 1 day today...here is a pic I took after I got ready for work at the gym this morning. I definitely feel like I'm carrying higher this time than in my other pregnancies.
I love this dress...it was a great purchase from Target early on in the pregnancy...not even maternity, but I knew the material would work for it. It's nice to know I can wear it afterward...love to pair it with black leggings and my grayish brown boots from Aldo {you can't see pictured here, obviously}. Nice and warm for this cold weather we're having lately!
{four}
My husband and I have decided we are going to put our house on the market very soon! We are ready to move into the school district we desire most for our sons, as well as be a lot closer to friends. We're not that far right now, but it still feels a little B.F.E. status sometimes. Right now we are making a plan to purchase a storage unit mid-month next month and move out some of the extra things to make the house more show-worthy...and at the same time we'll do some much-needed purging and organizing of things. We're hoping it doesn't take too long to sell...but then again, if it sells real soon, we'd be looking at moving right when I'm due or right after...so that thought is a little scary to me in itself. But I know people have done this pregnant, so I'll just put faith in God's timing on it all.
{five}
And lastly, on this list today...just want to say I love you all! {I know that's a cheap shot for #5, but I'm seriously blanking!}

Pins & Needles
No, I'm not talking about your Christmas tree sheddings.
Obviously I've been a bit absent the last week on the blog and I'm sure you've been sitting on these awaiting the next post, right? I knew it. And I'm sorry...to be honest, I have no real spectacularly good excuse as to why I haven't been posting since we got back from Thanksgiving weekend in Orlando...I just plain haven't had anything to write about. And I most certainly didn't want to bore you with a lot of blah blah nothingness...I aim to please...even though I'm certain many a post of mine may have been a snore...but that's beside the point.
Blogging is a funny thing, you know. I read so many blogs regularly and I've been seeing all sorts of wonderful posts on Christmas decor {the kind that put me to shame}, Christmas party attire and Christmas wish lists. But who would I be kidding to bust out an extravagant Christmas list right now? I'm saving for a new baby, becoming a SAHM and to be honest, I've just been too busy and on the go to even sit down and think about anything I want this year. And forget about Christmas party attire! This growing bump is making just getting dressed for work a huge chore. Not to mention, this lady can't have any "Christmas Cheer" {read: alcohol}, so I doubt we'll be attending any Christmas parties this year. Don't I sound like a Scrooge? Bah, humbug.
No, but seriously, I love the holiday season. Not to sound too cliche, but there really is something magical about it. However, this year, with the pregnancy, I only mustered up the energy to get our tree up and decorate the mantel and a couple of console tables. Normally, I do lights and pretty garland outside on the porch, but all I can think about is how I'll be even bigger when it comes time to take it all down and ain't no prego got time fo' that. You're probably thinking, "duh, that's what your husband is for!" but seriously, he wouldn't do it right {am I right, ladies?} and I'm OCD to a fault. And to imagine how he would take it all down later and stuff it away without care just nearly sends me into convulsions. So theeasiest best route to take was no lights outside this year. Though my three-year-old is particularly enamored with Christmas lights this year, so I may be making myself snap out of it and put up at least a string or two this weekend. We'll see. The things we do for those little people's happiness, I tell you. But I'm not all bad, you have seen the tree, right? And I even went for a larger one this year.
Anyway, it's not all bad...I'm headed to NYC in a week from today! My mom and I are going for 5 days to enjoy some shopping and tourist-y fun. It will be my first time to the Big Apple and I'm so excited. So I guess I will create my Christmas wish list as I go and just purchase it along the way while I'm there! Unfortunately, due to my current medical condition, I won't be purchasing many clothing items, but I do plan to build up my boots, scarves and accessories collection! I can't wait to see this big, beautiful tree:
We plan on seeing the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular, and hopefully getting into the live audience of Live with Kelly & Michael. Can't wait to share about the trip with you when I get back!
I'm also excited for our upcoming gender reveal party! Maybe it's just me, but I'm really feeling it's a girl this time around...Hubby just thinks I'm in denial about having three boys...but we shall see. We find out in exactly two weeks from today! Speaking of pregnancy, I haven't shown you a bump update in a little while, unless you follow me on Instagram. Here I am the other day at just about 17 weeks {I am 17 weeks exactly today}:
My outfits are OK most days...I had to order some sweaters from Motherhood Maternity since I've never been pregnant in the winter before, at least not where I was showing. Above I'm wearing one of those sweaters, some black leggings from Forever 21 and my Minnetonka Moccassin boots. As you can see, I'm definitely progressing! Lord knows I will be on the Insanity workout train starting a month after delivery. I am not wasting any time getting back to feeling normal again!
Anyway, I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday season thus far!

Five on Friday
It's been a couple weeks since I did one of these - you missed it, didn't you?
It's November already!
{two}
Trick-or-Treating was a success, but we are left with a lot of candy. It started raining around 7:30 or so, which knocked down the crowd and we have about half a bowl left. Taking that to a local dentist who sends it to the troops overseas...otherwise, we'll have candy through next May {considering all the holidays in between}.
{three}
My main men were so adorable in their Halloween costumes...

I hit my 12 week mark in the pregnancy yesterday...I like to consider it the safe zone...or at least the A LOT safer zone. And I have popped out for sure. Some days I am bigger than others...it's weird how I will shrink back down {not too much} then pop back out. I'm sure that will end soon and I'll just be a beach ball. Here's a picture of me today at 12 weeks 1 day:
I got a couple new pairs of maternity jeans this past week. I knew my previous maternity jeans just wouldn't do. Here's what I got:
| Old Navy |

The ones on the right are the ones I'm wearing in the picture above. They are both really comfy and a great price, so if you're in the market for some maternity jeans, I highly recommend them. Right now Old Navy is having a 20% off sale on jeans if you use the promo code ONSAVENOW.
Happy Friday and have a great weekend! Our plans are to hit up the county fair! We've never been, so I'm hoping it's a good time. I'm also planning on getting back in barre class tomorrow AM! Can't let this booty drop any lower!

Monday/Tuesday Mashup
Well, I intended on getting a Monday Musings post out yesterday, but it just didn't happen...so I'll put that post and today's post all-in-one.
This weekend was one of those weekends where I definitely was moving around getting stuff done, but at the end of it all, I looked at my house and it didn't look like I did shit all weekend. Pretty disappointing. I was working mostly on the back scenes I guess, you know, organizing paperwork that was strewn about my office and kitchen, doing many loads of laundry, tidying the boys' room and cleaning out furniture and other things we plan on selling before the baby comes in order to make room.
I tell you, I'm eager to find out whether this little babe is a he or a she because right now the nursery is just sitting there waiting to be dealt with. I need to paint it (it's blue, but just needs an allover repainting regardless). I have decided for now to also keep the queen bed set in there because I'm pretty sure I'll spend the last few months of pregnancy sleeping in there (I just cannot get comfortable sharing a bed at that stage) and also stay in there with the baby for the first few weeks so Hubby can still get rest each night since he still has to go to work. That's what we did last time and it worked out great. Plus, we'll still have a guest bed when needed. The dresser will serve as a changing table - I'll just get a pad for the top and we'll put a crib in there and be good to go. This is the crib I'm looking at - nothing fancy or really expensive, but I wanted it the same color as the bed set in the room:
I'd like you all to say 'hello' to my little friend...because baby decided to really pop out this past weekend:
Anyway, that's pretty much it for the weekend updates. We laid pretty low...Nana & Papa took the boys to a pumpkin patch on Sunday, so the break was nice for me.
Oh, we did get around to carving our pumpkins on Sunday night:
And I found a trick-or-treating costume for Sugar:

I am 11 weeks and 5 days here. I am so thankful for being able to dress in fall and winter styles with this bump...much more comfortable and less "chubby" showing than summer.

Monday Musings
Here we are...another Monday...
Charleston is experiencing some nice fall temps and they are much welcomed if I do say so myself! 70s breezes? Yes, please! I was able to relax out in the backyard catching up on 50 Shades of Grey on my Kindle...I started the books a year ago, but put it down midway through the second book and didn't get the itch to pick it back up again until they announced Charlie Hunnam would be playing Christian Grey in the movie adaptation. So I'm racing to finish the series before the movie comes out!
Speaking of fall weather, I can finally pull out the boots and scarves! Here is my outfit today:

| Top: Banana Republic {old} // Scarf: Target {old} // Jeans: Levis {old} // Boots: Target {old} |
I'm almost 8 weeks preggers and this being my 3rd, I am definitely rounding out in the middle quicker. I am still able to slide into my skinny jeans, but only because they are a tad on the stretchy side.
Another thing I'm excited for - October. Tomorrow is the first day of my new favorite month of the year. Being here in the Lowcountry, it is the most ideal month weather-wise and I just love all the fall activities I get to do with my kids - pumpkin patch, trick-or-treating, watching them play in leaf piles, S'mores around the firepit...it's just such a sweet time of year.
Have a great week, y'all!
